The 2024-25 Afterschool Year
In this program 3rd-5th graders are taught to play acoustic instruments by ear. They are taught by local musicians to play guitar, fiddle, banjo, or mandolin. Lessons are approximately 45-minute sessions (depending upon the number of students in each class) per week for 20 weeks during the school year. These classes will be held at your school right after the school day ends one day per week. YAM students may take advantage of a free Homework Center while they are waiting for their lesson to begin. After the lessons ends, students should be picked up within 10 minutes. Otherwise, students will be sent to the school homework center/afterschool program and they will be charged the regular fee. The cost of the weekly lesson is based on the Tier Level the student falls within. The instrument rental fee is a flat rate of $10 per month. Please see lesson rates below:
